Islamic Tour of Amman and the Jordan Valley

Day 1:

Pick up from Amman Hotel by an English speaking driver. Visit the King Abdullah Mosque and drive through downtown Amman before heading to the 7 Sleepers Cave (Ashab al Kahf), mentioned in a Sura in the Holy Qur’an. We then drive to the shrine of Abdul Rahman bin Auf, one of the first of the eight people to accept Islam before heading towards al Salt in the Jordan Valley. There you will have the opportunity to visit the following shrines: Abu Ubaidahibn al-Jarrah who was one of the ten companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Mu`ath Bin Jabal – was one of the group of six who collected the Qur’an during the lifetime of the Prophet (PBUH), ShurahbilibnHasanah- an active participant in the Battle of Yarmouk and the Conquest of Jerusalem, NabiYousha who was the apprentice of Prophet Moses and later his successor, and NabiShoaib mentioned 11 times in the Holy Qur’an – he believed he was sent as a prophet to the communities of the Midianites and the People of the Wood. Return to Amman.
